This video covers using RS-232 Camera Control on the HuddleCamhD conferencing cameras. • Every HuddleCamHD camera includes RS-232 control which utilizes the SONY VISCA camera protocol. You can therefore control the camera from a AV control system such as a Crestron or AMX touch screen. You can convert the RS-232 DB9 cable to USB and control the camera with our VISCA Control Software as well which opens up a host of new features. Once setup properly you can control the camera from any computer, smart phone or tablet on your network. • For important presentations you can connect any HuddleCamHD camera (except the 3XA) to our HC-JOY-G2 joystick controller. The joystick allows users to control multiple HuddleCamHD cameras connected via RS-232 in a daisy-chain using the RS-232 in and out ports. The joystick can control over 100 hundred cameras and can store ever more automated presets for each camera. Consider using a joystick or looking at our auto tracking camera the Simpltrack for settings where your subject will be moving around frequently. The SimplTrack auto tracking camera allows users to automate camera controls and connect the video to cloud based video conferencing software such as GoToMeeting, WebEX and Skype.
