The THIRD method is shown in this video, which is to refill the affected toner cartridge. • This toner refill method works for the following Brother printer models: • HL-L3210cw / HL-L3270cdw / DCP-L3510cdw / DCP-L3550cdw / MFC-L3710cw / MFC-L3730cdn / MFC-L3750cdw / MFC-L3770cdw. • Fade out test swatch: http://www.milogical.com/ColourSwatches • A completely empty cartridge weighs within a couple of grams of 367g. A full cartridge weighs within a couple of grams of 407g. Conversely, if you've got a cartridge behaving strangely, but its weight is nowhere near 367g, it's not lack of toner that's causing the problem and in that case refilling it won't help. • I bought the copper melter and plugs at https://www.urefilltoner.co.uk/, but you can also buy these elsewhere on the internet. I bought the toner on AliExpress. • Now to the refilling part. If your cartridge is empty • • Heat the bigger end of the copper melter and use the 2 corners of the knurled-effect plastic as rough guides to melt a hole with the heated copper melter. • • Shake an unopened bottle containing 40 grams of toner vigorously for 5 seconds. • • Jam the spout into the hole and lean everything back to a lower angle. • • Wait 5 seconds for the toner to flow in. • • Bring everything back up and disengage the spout from the cartridge. • • Repeat this process until the toner bottle is empty. • • Clean up any spilled toner from around the hole with an alcohol swab. • • Put a plug in to cover the hole. • • Put the refilled cartridge back into the printer and allow it to initialise.
