Chris Rea - Smile from the album Driving Home For Christmas - The Christmas EP 1988 • Chris Rea Time Running Out unreleased and later completely destroyed LP slick. Magnet records 1982. After the completion of this emotional album the record company and backers felt that the content was too emotionally dark and consequently all of the tapes and artwork apart from this slick were destroyed. The lot is accompanied by 19 large professional colour transparencies depicting REA fully clothed and with guitar in a turquoise swimming pool. • • The self-titled Chris Rea was released in 1981, and then Water Sign in 1983. • This Smile record was to be released in 82 but was destroyed instead. • The seller's description is puzzling, to say the least. (The songs are more like Love songs to me than too emotionally dark ) • Smile was eventually released in other albums:(B side to Love's Strange Ways, 83) (also on the 12 Ace of Hearts mini album, 84) • Tracklist: • 1 Driving Home For Christmas • Engineer – Justin Shirley-SmithProducer – Chris Rea, Jon Kelly • • 2 Footsteps In The Snow • Producer – Chris Rea • • 3 Joys Of Christmas • Mixed By – Chris Rea, Jon KellyProducer – Chris Rea • • 4 Smile • Producer – Chris Rea, Dave Richards . • • Many special thanks to my gREAt friend Nikos Christodoulou !!! • • Smile • You don't have to spend • your days in clouds • Hiding from the sun • Take a look around and see • It's not that easy for anyone • Smile • You don't have to put • that kind of stuff • On a friend like me • Or anybody else you see • So come on and smile • Rain comes falling down on everyone • Teardrops running from the sky • Too many nights are spent unspoken • Oh, dry your eyes • Smile • Cos you don't have to spend • your days in clouds • Hiding from the sun • Take a look around and see • It's not that easy • Take a look around and smile..... • Smile. It is a simple act, but sometimes takes a lot of effort. A smile can cause boundaries to melt, hearts to warm up, and distances to reduce. Why don't we smile more often? Is it too tough to smile? The answer lies in our attitude towards life. If we are more accepting of situations, we will be able to smile more easily. • Remember, without your smile, your attire is incomplete. • We all smile in the same language...! • This video has been published with absolute respect and admiration to Chris Rea's music ! • http://www.amazon.co.uk/Chris-Rea/e/B...
