Be sure to view the first three videos which deal with the 7 headed beast and don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel and click on the notification button so that you don't miss any of my future videos. • • This Bible prophecy predicts events that will occur right down to our present day. If you want to know America's prophetic role in end time phrophecy, stay tuned. • • What does the Bible tell us about the two-horned, lamb-like beast of Revelation 13? • • • Revelation 13: 11 reads, Then I saw a second beast, coming out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb, but it spoke like a dragon. 12 It exercised all the authority of the first beast on its behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed. 13 And it performed great signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to the earth in full view of the people. • • #1. What does a beast symbolize in Bible prophecy? • The Bible tells us that beasts represent kings or kingdoms. Daniel 7:17 reads Those great beasts, which are four, are four kings which arise out of the earth, and Daniel 7:23 reads The fourth beast shall be a fourth kingdom on earth. We learn from these two verses, that in Bible prophecy, beasts represent kings and kingdoms. Therefore the second beast of Revelation is a kingdom. • • #2 Where did this beast come from? • Revelation 13:11 reads Then i saw a second beast coming out of the earth.. . The prophet John was shown that the sea symbolizes a densely populated area. Revelation 17:15 reads Then he said to me, The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues. This second beast is seen coming out of the earth. If the sea represents a densely populated area, then the earth would represent a sparsely populated area. This nation will arise in a region with few inhabitants. • • • #3. When did the second beast come out of the earth? • Revelation 13:10 reads: He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Verse 10 is referring to the deadly wound that was inflicted on the first beast in the year 1798. Revelation 13:3 tells us that the first beast received a deadly wound and Revelation 13:11 tells us that AFTER the deadly wound is inflicted, THEN a second beast comes out of the earth. This event would occur sometime around the year 1798, during the time period of the French Revolution. History tells us that the second beast begins its rise to power in the late 18th century just as the first beast goes into captivity. The Papacy fell to the French Empire when Pope Pius VI was taken captive by French General Berthier on February 10, 1798. General Berthier, under Napoleon Bonaparte, marched to Rome, entered it unopposed and demanded the pope renounce his temporal authority. When he refused, he was taken prisoner to France where he died one year later. This is the deadly wound spoken of in Revelation 13:3. It was during this very time that America was rising to power. The declaration of independence was signed in 1776. The Revolutionary war was waged for 8 years from 1775 to 1783. The Constitution of the United States was ratified in 1788 and went into effect in 1789. Our first President was elected in 1792. The prophetic time clock is right on schedule. • • • 4. What is meant by the phrase coming out of? • According to Strong's concordance, The word coming was translated from the hebrew word anabainw (an-ab-ah'-ee-no) which means to arise, ascend, climb, grow, spring up. The picture that comes to mind is that of a young plant that is springing up or growing out of the earth. This kingdom was going to grow up over time. • • 5. What does the second beast look like? • Revelation 13:11 reads It had two horns like a lamb. This beast is lamb-like. Nothing about this second beast resembles the 7 headed beast that came out of the sea. This lamb like beast is unique, a distinct symbol of a new entity whose existence is essentially different from the other animal empires we have studied so far. Throughout the Bible, a lamb is used as a symbol of Jesus. John 1:29 reads The next day John saw Jesus coming towards him and said, Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! In 1 Corinthians 5:7. we read. . . For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. There are over 29 references in the book of Revelation alone that use the lamb to symbolize Jesus. This verse teaches us that the nation symbolized by this beast is lamb-like. It has some of the characteristics of Jesus. It is a nation founded on Christian principles. • • 6. What do the two horns represent? • In Bible prophecy, horns represent kings or kingdoms.
