Biotech Emporium Manual Bagging Machine: • In this video we will be using a 2010 model Manual Bagging Unit for our demonstration. The same adjustment principles apply to all models from 1999 up to 2018. On models from 2010 up to 2018 we used water cans instead of steel dumbbells as counterweights as these have proven to be far easier to use. • Since we made this video, we launched a completely new Manual Bagging Unit in 2019. The new 2019 model has it's own; The Complete Guide to Using Your Manual Bagging Unit ; video, since the working principals are no longer the same as the models shown in this video. • This machine uses no electronics to weigh the bags, instead we use a counterweight system connected to pneumatic gates to fill our bags to the desired weight. • Various adjustment points on this machine allow the operator to fine tune the machine to his exact requirements. • Fine weight adjustment on the machine is done by moving the fine adjuster weights on the unit backwards to increase the weight that goes into the bag and moving it forward decreases the weight going into the bag. • Corse weight adjustment is done through the movement of the large dumbbells on the back as a machine. Moving them backwards increases the weight and moving forward decreases weight going into the bag. • The gate opening adjusters allow the operator to adjust the tempo at which a bag can be filled. Faster fill rates will result in less accuracy as the weight may overshoot the closing rate of the cylinder. Slower filling rates will increase the accuracy of the machine, but up to a certain point where the ate may not close completely.
