I think I wanted to start recording in jail, actually, over the jail phone because, you know, there are some rappers who record whole albums from being incarcerated, while being incarcerated. I was like, why not record a podcast? But then I got released and I thought it would be a different way to, like, tell my story, not like to do something obvious, like writing a book or just like not giving another interview, but kind of like offering people a different perspective.” • 3. And just because I was in jail, I didn't always have a chance to comment and response. So, if you really think of it, like look back at it and look at things, it's not really my perspective. I don't really have much control because Netflix purchased the story from New York Magazine. I was like a consultant, but obviously I didn't have any control over the final product or anything like that. So, I don't know. I don't like - I just choose to move on and try to take control of my story and do something else with my life and not like sit and complain. So, because what's the use? I mean, people would think like - I cannot control what people think, but I can control kind of like my life and like what's out there by what I'm doing next.” • 7. So, I choose to see it that way. It's inspired by real life events. It's from the journalist's perspective. It's affected by everybody who she spoke to. Everybody's recollections are different.
