Finishing our loop drive from Bled, Slovenia, we head out from Kobarid. We saved the best part of the loop for last - a car train in Slovenia!! • MISS PART 1 OF THE BLED LOOP DRIVE? • Ski Jumping in September?! Planica ... • Kobarid proved a restful stop on this circle drive from Bled (which can be done in a long day, provided you don't stop for HOUR to film skiers in Planica!). Kobarid is located in the Soca river valley, and is where some very fierce deadly fighting took place during WWI. A unique and beautiful memorial to Italian fighters is located there - the Italian Charnel House (Italijanska kostnica nad Kobaridom in Slovene). We pay our respects here before continuing on. • Our next stop is Most na Soci (Most na Soči), where we stop not for the town, but to travel by a car train! Yes, a train that transports cars - basically a car ferry but it's by train. You stay in your car and it's an amazing experience to be in the comfort of your car and traveling through the picturesque Slovene countryside. Not only is the an experience to remember, but it doesn't even cost very much and saves an hour and a half!
