In 1995, my production partner Sue Smith and I produced this video in partnership with the Voyagers Group of Washington D.C. In cooperation with Terry Carl Probyn, and in partnership with the National Center for Missing Exploited Children, we used Jaycee's story to produce a pilot episode for the series titled Stolen Lives, a broadcast network program that would feature mini documentaries on recent missing children cases. • This was four years after Jaycee was abducted but Terry was holding strong, hanging on to the hope that some day she would find her daughter. 14 years later, On August 26, 2009, the miracle happened, Jaycee was found. And we have no doubt that Terry NEVER gave up the hope that she would one day find her daughter. A mother's love knows no bounds. • Though the circumstances under which Jaycee lived for 18 years during her abduction are abhorrent, and there is much healing that needs to happen, her return to her family is something to be celebrated.
