The medicine ball slam with squat jump is a relatively simple way to develop power in the lower body. Gripping the medicine ball, use triple extension by raising the ball above your head, extending at the ankles, knees, and hips so that your body is in a straight line. Using power and momentum, slam the ball straight down onto the floor. By following through with the arms and hinging at the hips, you will find yourself in position to immediately go up into your squat jump.
