Restoring a Prototype iPod Touch 2nd Generation

In this video, I go over the process I went though to get a rare prototype iPod Touch 2nd generation development board fully functioning and booting iOS. Although I hoped to be able to get it up and running with its original SOC, the SOCs these come with have a different bootloader that cannot boot any production version of iOS. As such, I ended up having to replace the SOC with one from a production iPod Touch 2G model. I have, however, recently managed to locate one of these boards that still has its original NAND and software, so I will most likely revisit this in the future and attempt to get one working with its original SOC. • • #apple #prototype #ipod
