Taping for arch support • ••• • This taping technique is known as a “low dye” taping. It helps support the medial arch of the foot by enforcing more foot supination. When individuals lack arch support, they demonstrate too much foot pronation. • This can be used in individuals with plantar fasciitis, posterior tibialis tendinitis, tibial stress syndrome (shin splints), or to identify if an insert for arch support would be helpful. • There are a few different techniques for taping the arch, but this is one for general stability.
