There are new Bluetooth Low Energy applications that aim to improve the lives of people with accessibility challenges. New smart home applications are breaking down barriers to create an interoperable world. And smart industries demand multi-protocol support to optimize their operations. • That’s why we are thrilled to talk today about the STM32WBA55. It’s the first member of the STM32WBA series to support multiple wireless communication protocols and standards. Besides Bluetooth Low Energy 5.4, it supports 802.15.4, Zigbee, OpenThread, and the Matter ecosystem in a Thread Border Router to provide a greater user experience. That’s why we believe the STM32WBA55 is one of the best ways to future-proof your applications. • For example, ST chose to adopt the audio streaming features in Bluetooth Low Energy 5.4. One of them is Auracast, which helps support new products and assistive technologies that demand modern broadcasting capabilities. A real-world use case improvement would be the user experience in telephony, thanks to a much lower latency. Another would be the use of Bluetooth hearing aids in public places. • Finally, we know that many of you are dealing with security regulations. It means that you must implement much stronger mechanisms, but you are not always sure what they are yet. • Well, don’t worry. The STM32WBA series can receive a SESIP Level 3 certification. It means the microcontroller includes all necessary protections against physical attacks. And, thanks to the Cortex-M33, developers have access to Trusted Firmware, Secure Boot, Secure Debug, and more. • We will also be launching another STM32WBA at the end of the year with a lot more embedded memory. It will be our way of ensuring developers can create even more affordable single-chip wireless applications. It will also include additional key peripherals to extend and hasten communication. It will help integrators build smart home devices, peripherals, and accessories. • The STM32WBA series has helped accelerate a project’s time to market. It also enhanced performance for wireless short-range devices by meeting ever-changing requirements. The STM32WBA55 follows in those footsteps. • In fact, let’s see how P4Q, an ST customer in Spain, is already using the STM32WBA55 to transform their application.
