Showing the tuning of a dual isolator (circulator) with a HP8753D VNA. • This is a DB products 4618 217-222 MHz unit tuned into the ham band of 223.8 to 225.0 MHz. These tune almost always here with amazing results. Typically S11 is -40 dB and S21 is under 0.4 dB, S22 is -30 dB and S12 is -80 to -90 dB. This is 20 db or more better than the rated performance. • The document I reference for tuning of dual isolators can be found here: http://www.repeater-builder.com/anten... • Note this is an EMR document and they have different numbers for the capacitors than DB Products does. This doesn't matter as the physical location of the capacitor is what matters.
