On 20 June 2024, the National Trust held a celebration event marking the official completion of its Runnymede Explored project. Thanks to support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund, we have opened the historic landscape at Runnymede and Ankerwycke leaving a legacy for the community. Famous as the location of the sealing of the Magna Carta, we have made the space accessible to more people with new pathways, artworks and interpretation revealing its deeper history.
