Update: Many people are concerned about the pump's noise; it was noisy because the boiler was empty. Once the boiler was filled, the machine ran quiet as long as the top cover for the water reservoir was correctly secured. Total height clearance with a bottomless portafilter is 4.25 (108mm). Surface area of the drip tray is 8 (203mm) Wide x 6 (152mm) Deep. • I just bought the Profitec Go espresso machine today. The Go is a sizeable upgrade to my existing 3-year-old Gaggia Classic Pro, and it's just about the best a single boiler machine can offer before upgrading to a dual boiler or heat exchange machine. Handmade in Germany too, all for under $1000 MSRP before tax. • Check my second video in the series: Making first cup of latte using the Profitec Go • Profitec Go - Making A Cup of Morning... • Pros: • 0.4L insulated eco brass single boiler for more consistent temp • 2.8L water tank • Brew Pressure Gauge • Brew PID • Steam PID • Clean reminder • Eco auto shut off • Extra custom functions • Pump is quieter than the GCP • Solid stainless steel construction • Very good build quality • 3-way solenoid valve for clean puck release • Includes decent accessories • 3-year warranty • Easily adjustable Over-Pressure-Valve (OPV) • Fairly quick heat-up time (4min) • Cons: • The steam wand is not insulated and can burn your hand if not careful • Tiny drip tray capacity • The drip tray gets very hot during the brewing/steaming purge • The messy boiler refill process after steaming • Two 5-second purges with 10-second intervals are recommended during steaming heat up • Top-fill only water tank • Sometimes rattles if the water reservoir cover is not secured • No low water indicator runs the risk of damage to an empty boiler • Some chapters that you might be interested in: • 0:00 Introduction • 2:30 Unboxing • 3:45 Accessories • 6:13 Portafilter • 11:15 Machine Features • 19:00 Size comparison to Gaggia Classic Pro • 22:54 GCP Heatup Time (approx 50 seconds or so) • 28:15 Profitec Go Heatup Time (4 min or so) • 29:00 Filling boiler for the first time • 29:50 Noise complaint • 30:00 Small drip tray • 40:34 Shower head underside view • 41:00 First ever trial brew w/bottomless portafilter • 45:10 Second brew after adjusting the grind size • 50:20 Wrapup, Pros Cons • 1:00:50 Steaming • 1:05:55 Steam purging mess • #profitec #profitecgo #gaggia #gaggiaclassicpro #espresso #espressomachine #singleboiler
