Operation Wolf 3 was developed by East Technology and Published by Taito in 1994. • • While all 3 of the first titles in the series had a militarized themed, this version shared some stark differences from its predecessors. For one, the game's story line in Operation Wolf 3 shared no resemblance to the previous titles in the series at all; and unlike the previous versions, with OP3 developers made use of digitized graphics to represent just about every object in the game. • It also wasn't the first title to be released by Taito that focused on the use of digitized graphics to invoke a sense of realism. Just a year prior in 1993 Taito released another light gun game called Under Fire , that also made use of digitized graphics in a similar manner. • In OP3, Players took on the role of one of two special agents • code named Hornet and Queen Bee, who've been sent to • take down the evil organization known as Skull . • The game play is generally side-scrolling, and at times fixed place, with insurgents attacking from all angles of the screen, including from the air in attack helicopters. • There are innocents in the game, some of which • are held hostage by insurgents, others just fall in the line • of fire.
