M.) liegt oberhalb der Linthebene im voralpinen St. Galler Hügelland und ist umgeben von Weilern. Zu den Touristen-Attraktionen im Dorf zählt eine Erlebniskäserei, wo Besucher eigenhändig Käse herstellen können. Das bei Tagestouristen bekannte Goldingertal erstreckt sich von Goldingen bis zum Ski- und Wandergebiet Atzmännig. Weit hinten im Tal erhebt sich im Weiler Hintergoldingen (834 m ü. M.) eine hübsche Kapelle. • • • Goldingen (701 m above sea level) lies above the Linth plain in the St. Galler Hügelland (St. Gallen Downs) at the alpine foothills and is surrounded by hamlets. Visitors to the cheese factory in the village can make cheese with their own hands. The Goldingertal valley, known to many day trippers, extends from Goldingen all the way to the skiing and hiking area of Atzmännig. Far back in the valley, there is a pretty chapel in the hamlet of Hintergoldingen (834 m above sea level).
