P0340 and p0345 are for cam positioning sensor sensor bank 1 and bank 2. I'm working on a Nissan Murano and the customer was complaining of a stalling or hesitation while driving and cutting out. • Got vehicle in and hooked lab scope up to cam sensor to monitor cam sensor circuit and look at cam sensor signal. Time cam sensor signal good but found a loose connection at cam position sensor causing the stalling problem. • Vehicle Application: • 2003 FX35 3.5 • 2004 FX35 3.5 • 2003 G35 3.5 • 2004 G35 3.5 • 2005 G35 3.5 • 2006 G35 3.5 • 2006 M35 3.5 • 2005 350Z 3.5 • 2006 350Z 3.5 • 2003 Altima 3.5 • 2003 Maxima 3.5 • 2004 Maxima 3.5 • 2005 Maxima 3.5 • 2006 Maxima 3.5 • 2007 Maxima 3.5 • 2003 Murano 3.5 • 2004 Murano 3.5 • 2005 Murano 3.5 • 2006 Murano 3.5 • 2007 Murano 3.5 • Customer Concern: Has a check engine light on and a Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor code P0340. • Average Reported Mileage: 118081 • Tests/Procedures: 1. Monitor the signal on the CMP sensor with a lab scope. The sensor should produce a 0-10 volt square wave pattern. This type of sensor produces the signal and pulses it out, it is not a sensor that pulses a reference voltage on and off to ground. If the sensor is not producing a signal, it may be faulty or may have no power or ground. • 2. Also check for poor pin fit and poor connection at the sensor connector. • Author: • Diagnostic Codes • P0340 • P0345 • • Check out The Flat Rate Mechanics Tool Store on Amazon https://goo.gl/M8MpdC • Subscribe to my youtube channel here: https://goo.gl/j1pCfn • Connect with me: • FaceBook: https://goo.gl/rKg2Bv • Grease Monkey Art Gallery https://greasemonkeygallery.com/ by The Flat Rate Mechanic • Instagram: https://goo.gl/NCjRhM • Google Plus: https://goo.gl/6AyJz3 • Website: https://flatratemechanic.com • For Promotional offers, consulting, training, sponsorships or other inquiries contact me at [email protected] • The Flat Rate Mechanic. 26 year ASE Master Automotive Technician and Advanced level ASE certified here to help you save money on your automotive repairs • The Flat Rate Mechanic is a participant in the Amazon Influencer Program. nbsp; • nbsp: • Disclaimer: • Due to factors beyond the control of The Flat Rate Mechanic, it cannot guarantee against unauthorized modifications of this information or improper use of this information.
