Alerta, Katipunan! is a Filipino march that dates back to the Philippine Revolution of 1896-1898. It was adopted by the revolutionaries based on Teodoro Villapol's Voluntarios ¡Viva España! , the march of the pro-Spanish military units Voluntarios Leales (Loyal Volunteers). Various lyrics and variations in Spanish and Tagalog have been used by both pro and anti-Spanish forces. The Tagalog lyrics in this video is attributed to Ildefonso Santos. • This rendition was included in the 1976 album Philippines: Bangon!
