Hello and Welcome to my channel. In today's video I show you how you can make your own Body Mist Spray using Polysorbate 20. Polysorbate 20 is a solubilizer. It is also an emulsyfying agent and surfactant that is great for using in water based products that contains oils. It helps to break down the oils which enables them to blend with the liquid evenly so the liquid and oil don't separate. This recipe is simple, easy and you can custom make your recipe according to your personal preferance. I hope this video helped you and you found it useful. • • Please note when using Polysorbate 20 use in moderation. • • Excuse me for saying that Polysorbate 20 is a preservative. Polysorbate isnt a preservative its an emulsyfying agent solubilizer and a surfactant • A surfactant by definition is a substance which tends to reduce the surface tension of a liquid in which it is dissolved. • An emulsyfier by definition or surface-active agents, are compounds that lower the surface tension between two liquids or between a liquid and a solid. • A solubilizer by definition are used to solubilize oils into water so that the ingredients can be mixed and incorporated into water. They are commonly used in water-based formulas such as liquid soaps, but also used in products such as bath oils, tonics, and room sprays. • • Instructions: • 1st step make your oil mixture • Base note 40 drops of caramel vanilla • Middle note 15 drops milk and honey and 8 drops of lavender • Top note 15 drops of cherry blossom • 5 drops of Polysorbate mixed with the oils. Set aside • Combine your liquids • 5 tablespoon of distilled water. Add 15 drops of denatured grain alcohol. Next Add 4 tablespoons of vegetable glycerin. Mix evenly • Finally put your oils and liquid together and mix evenly. • Lastly pour into your spray bottle.
