South Africas First Van Festival Van Fest 2022

Vanfest 2022 , hosted at Buccaneers on the Beach, stunning campsite and lodge located on the Chintsa beach on the Wild Coast of South Africa. This being the FIRST van festival in South Africa , uniting like minded people from across the country. We had attendees from far and wide in all sorts of quirky rigs. From old VW kombis , to modern vans and 4x4 overlanders. This was a 4 night event with all sorts of activities to mingle. • Night 01 there was a communal bonfire and braai with live music by Heather Waters. • Day 02 - float on the Chintsa Lagoon. Before local band Can of Worms performed live music in the campsite boma, open evening to the public so outsiders could view vans and the festival vibes. • Day 03 - beach sundowners amongst the sand dunes. A Misty but epic evening on the Chintsa beach. Followed by a big screen outdoor movie night. Popcorn , curry and comedy under the stars. • Day 04 - volley ball competition and pool party afternoon. A great way for people to mingle, enjoy food drinks. That evening a bonfire brought everyone around for one last night. While Rina Butterfly played some music around the fire with her ukulele. • Day 05 - the morning of departure ,Buccaneers hosted a lovely brunch with tasty food for people to fuel up before the drive ahead.
