Thank you for the support xx • In this video I talked about two awesome ETF’s. The VOO and VTI ETF’s! • I will give a quick summary of each ETF as well as look at why I like each of them and I will end of the video by comparing their growth in my portfolio over the last 5 months. • The VOO ETF: Also known as the Vanguard S P500 ETF invests in stocks in the S P 500 Index, representing 500 of the largest U.S. companies. Actually 508 of the largest companies in the USA. • The majority of this ETF consists of technology stocks like Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook etc. But it also diversifies into other sectors like healthcare, energy and more. • The VTI ETF: Also known as the Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF seeks to track the performance of the Total US Market Index. • 32% of VTI is invested in the technology sector which is in very close comparison to VOO. • It is actually very similar to the VOO ETF because majority of this ETF is also invested in the S P 500. • The biggest difference between these two ETF’s are their composition. While the VOO holds 508 stocks, the VTI also has those 508 stocks, but has another 3099 smaller stocks. • You could say the VTI is a bit more diversified, but then again the VOO might be a bit safer. • I decided to invest the same amount of money into both ETF’s and 5 months later I want to compare which one did better. • The VTI outgrew the VOO with more than 3%. • To be quite honest, owning both these ETF’s is not a necessity just because they are very similar. You could diversify into another ETF group and maybe just own either the VTI or VOO ETF. • Whatever you choose, both have had excellent performances since their conception and I would deem it crucial to at least have one of them in your portfolio for the long haul. • I wish you a healthy, wealthy life!! • Minika xx
