A true old school soul anthem and a timeless classic from the group Maze featuring Frankie Beverly. • Taken from the group’s fourth album and released in July 1980. • This song was later covered in 1989 by Donna Allen reaching the top 10 UK singles chart. • Frankie Beverly originally put the band together in 1970 which was called Raw Soul, however it was changed after meeting Marvin Gaye who suggested they change it to Maze. • The band moved to San Fransico and went on tour with Marvin Gaye as an opening act and soon had a string of hits leading to 9 gold albums from 1977-1993. • Maze and Frankie Beverly are still touring around the world performing their other hits such as “Back In Stride”, “We Are One”, “Southern Girl” and “Happy Feelin’s”. • Recently Beyonce covered another Maze hit song called “Before I Let Go” taken from her Homecoming album. • Please subscribe, share like our video and follow us on Facebook for all future video releases and check out our other videos on: • / djfunkmazterj
