Cell junctions or intercellular bridges are a class of cellular structures consisting of multiprotein complexes that provide contact or adhesion between neighbouring cells or between a cell and the extracellular matrix in animals. The important cell junctions in animal are tight junctions, adherence junctions, gap junctions, desmosomes, hemidesmos etc. • Adherens Junctions are large multiprotein complexes that join the actin cytoskeleton to the plasma membrane to form adhesive contacts between cells or between cells and extracellular matrix. They are composed of two protein complexes. One is alpha catenin, beta catenin and cadherin complex, and another is nectin, afadin complex. Cadherins are a type of cell adhesion molecule (CAM). In this video I have discussed about the detail molecular structure and functions of Adherens Junctions. • #adherens_junction • #cell_junctions • #am_biolgie_notes • 1) Biology in Bengali Version- • Biology Mirror- / @biologymirror2020 • 2) Facebook Page- / ambiologienotes • 3) Instagram TV- • www.instagram.com/amitmaity2020 • • To Subscribe my Channel Click the Following Link: • / @ambiologienotes2020 • You may watch the following videos: • 1) Immunology: • • Immunology | AM Biologie Notes • 2) Ecosystem: • • Ecosystem • 3) Parasitology: • • Parasitology | Zoology | AM Biologie ...
