This is a stop-motion Michael Behrenshauser, Sean Fanelli and I created for our Natural Disasters project. The stop-motion presents the various stages of Pangaea's destabilization over the course of 200 million years. It was a bit tricky getting the paper continents to move around the way we wanted to, but all in all I think it turned out pretty good - for the record we had one class period (40 minutes) to work on it. We had a lot of fun making this - check out the stop-motion in its entirety at 0:59. Notice India spins around before finally linking with Eurasia. As far as I know, this never actually happened. • Enjoy! The music is by Rob Westwood.
