Five important characters from the book were completely omitted from the movie! Ludo Bagman, the head of the Ministry of Magic's sports department and tournament judge, was cut. Winky, the former Crouch house elf that was believed to have cast the dark mark at the Quidditch World Cup, did not appear in the movie at all. Neither Dobby the House Elf nor Bertha Jorkins, the woman tortured by Voldemort and Wormtail to tell them about the Tournament at Hogwarts, appeared in the movie.
