Lefkosa is the northern part of the city of Nicosia, and is a fascinating place with so much history, both ancient and recent. • We stayed with lovely Couchsurfing hosts in Lefkoșa in the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus, and spent the day wandering around the northern part of Nicosia with our friend Vahid. • Unfortunately for us, it was actually May Day so most of the major sights were closed!
