Twitter: / targetshooter14 • In this video, I show the accuracy and power of the Mini-Mags manufactured by CCI. These 22lr bullets are 36 grain hollow points that travel at 1260 feet per second at the muzzle. These are considered high velocity, standard velocity 22lr rounds travel around 1000 feet per second. The CCI Mini-Mags have 127 ft/lbs of energy at the muzzle, while the standard 40 grain round nose 22lr's have 89 ft/lbs of energy. The Mini-Mags are still not the most powerful 22lr by CCI. • I haven't shot every type of 22lr from CCI, but the most powerful one I've shot, are the CCI Stingers. They called them stingers for a reason, these are 32 grain round nose that travel at 1640 feet per second! You remember, standard velocity have 89 ft/lbs and the Mini-Mags have 127 ft/lbs. Well, the stingers have an amazing 190 ft/lbs of energy at the muzzle. • If you're used to shooting bigger rounds like .380, 9mm, and 45acp are some examples. They have a higher ft/lbs of energy, so you might be thinking that 190 ft/lbs is kind of low. Sure, for something like 45acp, that's low, but we're talking about a 22lr! Where the regular energy is 89 ft/lbs. So the Mini-Mags are high velocity and the Stingers are kinda super high velocity! • Thanks for watching!
