Mr. Ortiz opened fire, reportedly upset over a family member’s hospice death, wounding nurse Emily Carter, 32, security guard Michael Torres, 45, and patient Laura Simmons, 63. Police responded swiftly, killing Ramsey in a shootout. • York County 911 confirmed the “active threat” was neutralized. Carter is critical; Torres and Simmons have moderate injuries.
