In collaboration with KoziTV, we present you with a driver's seat train ride from Poland. • Poland is a country I am fascinated by. I enjoy seeing how things operate where the infrastructure isn't quite as modern as what we have in Switzerland. From what I can see here though, it looks better than in some parts of Germany I have driven in. I was also surprised to see the amount of modern trains in operation. During my last visit to Poland in 2016, the majority of stock was older. By the way, I still have some trainspotting videos to put together from that trip. • Personally I also find the history very interesting - particularly that many lines were constructed while modern day Poland was part of Russia, Prussia (Germany) or Austria. For those who don't know, the Polish empire was increasingly annexed by these three countries until 1795. Until after World War I in 1918, no sovereign Polish state existed. • For those interested, I have included the former German names of towns and cities below the Polish names. • Earlier this year I contacted KoziTV and asked if he'd be interested in collaborating and voila, here is the first video. He's aiming to grow his channel, so have a look and subscribe if you like his work. He will be releasing a video I filmed sometime in the future. • Next to the station names are their altitude in meters. In the lower right corner, the maximum allowable speeds are displayed after stops and as they change. I can't guarantee that all the speeds are correct, but very close. I found it a bit harder finding information about bridges and when they were built, so sometimes you'll just see the name of the river we cross. • I hope you enjoyed the video.
