These are really common and useful chords that are interchangeable with the Em, C, and D Major chords you’ve learned so far. That means that with any of the progressions you’ve learned so far, you can replace any Em with an Em7, any C with a Cadd9, and any D with a Dsus4. The Em7, Cadd9, and Dsus4 function the same as the Em, C, and D chords. They just contain some added notes, which make them sound a little different. Try them out and see which you like better. The other nice thing about these new chords is that you can combine them with the G chord and create an easy to play but good sounding progression.
