Ducks are very opportunistic when it comes to their diet and they tend to have a rather diverse diets as well. Certain species of ducks eat more plants and insects and other ducks will also eat things like fish and crustaceans. Ducks patrol the waters looking for anything they can find and are pretty good foragers. Other ducks species dive really well and search for food below the waters surface.
