Yet, somehow through their silence my sisters and I knew we were not allowed to date. • With very little guidance on dating, I was left to fend for myself as I went into college. Some things I try to teach my girls: • 1) There’s no such thing as boyfriends and girlfriends as a child. • 2) It’s better to build a friendship with a guy and really get to know him first-- before anything else. • 3) Bring home the guy you’re interested in to your family!
