Third Grade Addition Bar Models

We use bar model to solve division problems. Each section of the bar model represents a group and will show how many in each group. We talk about the two ways that we can record and write a division equation. We talk about the parts of a division equation as the dividend, divisor, and quotient. We write a division equation to fit a given picture. We solve several division equations to find their quotients.
