Watch Pararescuemen assigned to the 83rd Expeditionary Rescue Squadron conduct training on tactical insertion and patrolling as a unit to hone their skills. • Pararescuemen (also known as PJs) are elite Air Force Special Operations specialists tasked to conduct the full spectrum of Personnel Recovery operations. These highly trained operators undertake rescues in all types of terrains and participate across every aspect of the mission, from search and rescue to giving emergency medical treatment in hostile or otherwise difficult environments, in order to save lives and aid the injured. Whether shot down or stranded behind enemy lines; surrounded, engaged, injured, or captured by the enemy, PJs will do everything it takes to get our troops home to fight another day. • Pararescue Creed: “It is my duty as a Pararescueman to save life and to aid the injured. I will be prepared at all times to perform my assigned duties quickly and efficiently, placing these duties before personal desires and comforts. These things we (I) do, that others may live. • #Pararescue #Pararescuemen • Factual, impartial and current. AiirSource brings you the latest insights from the United States Armed Forces.
