WENTWOOD WALK FEATURING USK, GRAY HILL AND WENTWOOD RESERVOIR • Usk and Wentwood” • Filmed 10th May 2018 • Post-production completed 22nd June 2018 • This is the film that I have been the most excited about making in 2018, the 25th anniversary special. • Although the last four films have been part of the 25th anniversary celebrations with them taking place in locations from earlier films with the odd nod to the past, this film directly references events of 25 years ago. Like the preceding films, this has been shot in an old location, as well as a new one, but this film pays homage to what we’ve seen before. I have also added a little fiction to some of the narrative in the film, so that links to the past are maintained and respected, and not dismissed or ridiculed, although I do take the Mickey out of myself too! • I won’t reveal too many details about this film, but I can say that I have tried to recreate one or two scenes from earlier days. It will be interesting to know if any viewers, who have watched my early stuff, can spot them. • Do make sure you watch the beginning and end titles too and not skip them as something of the past can be found in them as well. • Note - The origins of the Solitary Rambler told here are slightly fictitious as they are designed to tie in with the mainly fictional Pilot Episode made back in 1993. • Filmed in Wentwood in the county of Monmouthshire. Locations include Usk, Cadira Beeches, the Five Paths, Foresters’ Oaks, Gray Hill and Wentwood Reservoir.
