Next is the 100 metres women's relay won by Neil, Ramsden, Cooper and Peat. • • Several shots of the men's pole-vaulter event, with France against Britain. Alain-Pierre Legrain hits the bar, knocking it down. Mike Bull does a great vault - he won the event with a height of 16 foot 5 inches. In the men's High Hurdles, David Hemery comes in first. In the 1500 metres Ian Stewart comes in first with a new British record of 3 minutes 39 seconds. Spectators applaud.
