SOLER Sonata 84 in D major by concert pianist Stephanie Elbaz • https://www.stephanie-elbaz.com • Padre Antonio Soler (1729-1783) is widely recognized as the greatest Spanish composer of 18th century. Very famous during his lifetime, he had however difficulties in reconciling his life of a monk and composing activity. Little accepted by the other monks, he was nicknamed the devil in monk's habit . In spite of this challenge, he composed an impressive number of beautiful pieces, including 120 sonatas.
