Clay Extruder Review made by Walnut Hollow

I've had a small extremely hard to use clay extruder for some time now and decided to go get something that was a little easier to use. so I went shopping! I got this tool from Hobby Lobby listed for $26.99 but with a 40% off coupon it came to about $16 dollars. Well worth the price when considering how much easier it is for me now to extrude clay! • I'm going to be doing a continuation of a video I made a while back where I made a pixel cane using tiny square pieces from a extruder. • Polymer clay cane - Sprite/Pixel Cane... People have been having trouble with distortion after reducing their canes and I'm thinking its because its a bit difficult reducing a square image. So I've came up with a way to convert the finished square images (cane) into a round one which should make reducing the cane much easier! Its just a theory, but I'm gonna try it and share what happens anyways lol. • Back to this product review... My first impression is ALL GOOD, love it! The rubber washer keeps the center piece of the extruder (plunger/pusher) from scratching the inner walls of the outer cylinder making it no doubt last a long time. • ___________________________________________________________________ • NOTE: YOU DON'T HAVE TO SPIN THE HANDLE TO GET THE PLUNGER BACK TO LOAD CLAY LIKE I DID IN THE VIDEO!!! Simply unscrew the cylinder from the handle piece and the little part the cylinder screws into moves MUCH MUCH easier and faster!! I'll show you when I do the next video (continuation of the pixel cane video) • ___________________________________________________________________ • All in all I think I'm gonna be happy with the tool... and maybe now I can do more pixel cane videos.... because they are pretty neat, and fun too!
