If you've never stepped into the world of imagination that is Collingwood Library, here's 10 great reasons to visit 💖⬇️ • 1️⃣ All the best new reads: whether you like to pop in and out for your holds or browse the latest Red Hot Reads, you'll find some of the hottest books on our shelves • 2️⃣ Two floors of collection: one thing people always notice about our building is its unique mezzanine layout. Despite our small footprint, we've got two floors worth of items to browse and spaces to read and study in • 3️⃣ Laptop stands to borrow: by popular demand we now have laptop stands to borrow. Bring your library card to the desk and we'll check one out for you! • 4️⃣ Helpful staff: 🙋♀️ • 5️⃣ Stunning architecture: originally built as a church, this historically significant building was converted to a library and opened on July 16, 1978 with Gough Whitlam present! You'll quickly notice its striking features which include a choir loft! • 6️⃣ Kids books and activities: whether you're joining us for a storytime, checking out the picture books or have a little one that loves to do colouring, the library is a magical place for kiddos! • 7️⃣ Computer and printing facilities: many of us don't have printers at home and the library can be a great place to get some printing done. Pro-tip: you can actually upload print jobs via our website using your library card and scan your card in branch to release them within 24 hours • 8️⃣ After-hours access: our Open Library program is a great way to access the library at the times that are most convenient to you. Patrons over 18 years of age can attend a safety induction that grants them access to the library as early as 8am in the morning and up til 10pm at night. • 9️⃣ Right next to a charging station: if you've got an electric car, why not charge up next door to us and pop in for a browse while you're at it! • 🔟 A strone's throw from Collingwood train station: not everyone has a library that's walking distance to them. But if you're a rider on the Mernda or Hurstbridge lines, why not jump off at Collingwood station and you'll have time to borrow a book and be back on the platform before your next train! • Find out more about our Open Library program here: https://library.yarracity.vic.gov.au/...
