Today I review an iPhone microphone, the iRig Mic Studio, which is an iOS / Android / Mac / Windows compatible microphone. This mic provides clarity that is almost too much, due to the overly boosted high end, causing it to sound slightly unnatural. It records 24-bit 48kHz which is nice, and it does a decent job at rejecting plosives. • Buy the IK Multimedia iRig Mic Studio • Global: https://geni.us/irigmicstudio • 00:00 - Intro / Price • 00:23 - Setup / Disclaimers • 00:44 - What’s in the Box • 01:22 - Build Quality / Features • 02:19 - Specifications • 02:53 - Polar Pattern Test • 03:11 - Background Noise Test • 03:19 - Distance Test / Proximity Effect Test • 03:32 - iOS Recording Test • 04:08 - Windows 10 Test • 04:23 - Preamp Noise Test • 05:16 - Music Test • 05:52 - Pros Cons • 06:52 - Recommendation / Conclusion • 08:08 - Outro • My YouTube Kit: https://podcastage.com/studio • My Favorite XLR Mics: https://podcastage.com/rev/favxlr • My Favorite USB Mics: https://podcastage.com/rev/favusb • NOTE (FULL DISCLOSURE): If you purchase an item using my amazon link, it provides me a small referral fee.
