Tourists in China horrified as glass bridge cracks

The much-awaited world's highest and longest glass-bottomed bridge will open to visitors this weekend in Zhangjiajie City, central China's Hunan Province. The bridge was completed in last December and cost some 22.5 million yuan (3.4 million US dollars). It measures six meters wide, 430 meters long and stands some 300 meters above ground. Designed by Israeli architect Haim Dotan, the bridge has allegedly already set world records for its architecture and construction.
