This ruby crystal was sourced from Mogok in Burma, the traditional home to the worlds finest rubies. This piece has an ideal shape for cutting, with a flat base and rounded top, ideally this would cut a beautiful cabochon (with good cutting it should yield up to a 4ct stone), however it could also give a good yield if cut as a faceted cushion (at least 2.5ct).
