Division of Interventional Pulmonology • Yashoda Hospitals, Hyderabad • Caustic airway burns • Hydrochloric acid Ingestion- Aspiration • 31 year old male with no comorbidities presented to emergency with alleged history of ingestion of around150-200ml of Hydrochloric acid followed by history of vomiting, hematemesis and dyspnea. In view of Type one respiratory failure, patient was intubated and chest X-ray showed bilateral infiltrates.
