Ideally desoldering and taking apart each switch is the BEST way to lube the keyboard but that takes longer and takes way more steps (Which means a higher chance that you could mess something up). Results will vary across the board as this method is not consistent from key to key. • The board I'm using is the HyperX Alloy Origins Core TKL (Linear Reds), I did the sound test using the stock keycaps and on the same desk to give as accurate a representation of the change in sound as possible. • I do have some clips that have the HyperX Pudding PBT keycaps. I will say that PBT keycaps will make the board sound a little better, video coming on keycaps in the near future, you'll want to subscribe so you don't miss it! • Timestamps: • 0:00 Intro • 0:07 Disclaimer • 0:23 Things You'll Need • 1:30 Lubing Stabilizers • 3:23 Keyswitch Method 1 • 4:25 Keyswitch Method 2 • 5:30 Sound Test (Modifiers Unlubed) • 6:00 Sound Test (Typing Unlubed) • 6:13 Sound Test (Modifiers Lubed) • 6:41 Sound Test (Typing Lubed) • 7:20 Conclusion Closing Remarks • • DISCLAIMER: DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK • Also, my research suggests to NOT do this on tactile switches (Linears only) • • Links to Social: • https://mylinks.ai/shakemuzzi • Individual Links: • Instagram: / shakemuzzi • TikTok: / shakemuzzi • Twitter: / shakemuzzi
