testing snubber circuit

well i have bought this little guy for testing purpose , lets see will it suppress voltage spikes or not , by simulating spike as mentioned in a previouse video using the step down transformer but flipped and with a supply voltage (10V used) with high current capacity to deliver good amount of flux for the transformer core , with a small tack switch u can generate the spike needed for the test , of course it has a high voltage value so we use potential divider with ratio for ex 11 to protect the oscilloscope , and it works!! , significantly mitigating the spikes • heres a good tutorial on how varistor or MOV works • https://www.electronics-tutorials.ws/...
