Robert Lee Yates is a convicted serial killer who is known to have murdered at least 15 people. Most of them were prostitutes from Spokane, Washington. On this day 14 years ago, police were inside his home searching for evidence that would link him to his victims. He later confessed in a plea agreement to 13 of the killings and was sentenced to life in prison. Then he was tried and convicted of two additional killings and sentenced to death.
