Innsbruck, Austria Summer Walk - Austrian Alps • The second destination of our European trip is the beautiful Austrian city of Innsbruck. We start our walk near Casino Innsbruck and shortly we can see one of the most iconic monuments of Innsbruck, the Triumphal Arch, which depicts the state symbols of the Habsburg monarchy. We continue our walk along Maria-Theresien-Straße, named after Empress Maria Theresa, which is a wide, slightly curved boulevard and shopping street and a central street in Innsbruck that dates back to the first city expansion in the 13th century. Then we walk through Herzog-Friedrich-Straße, the central street through Innsbruck's old town. It is named after Duke Friedrich IV with the empty pocket . Finally, we reach Innbrücke, also called the Old Inn Bridge, which is a road bridge over the Inn River. This first bridge at this point was built in the 12th century, it gave the city of Innsbruck its name and can also be found in the city coat of arms.
