In this video I make a wooden baby rattle toy from cherry wood. The captured ring rattles around on the shaft and gives a fun sensory experience for babies as they are learning their motor skills. I really enjoyed this project as a beginner project as I was able to test out making beads, vee cuts, tapers and of course, the captured ring! • It was pointed out to me in the comments that these style of captive rings have the possibility of breaking and then becoming a choking hazard. So if you make one, please make sure to only allow it to be used with adult supervision.
