PointClickCare and Epic EHR Integration For a Medical Imaging Device

PointClickCare EHR, popularly used by several senior care, skilled nursing, home health care, and assisted living care providers, is specifically designed to cater to the needs of long-term care providers. From offering care coordination to RCM integrated EHR solutions, PointClickCare effectively manages operations of resident care. • Recently, OSP worked on a project wherein the client wanted to integrate PointClickCare EHR with a medical imaging device. The client’s primary needs were to automatically transfer the data from the gateway that collected the medical imaging device data to the EHR. • We, at OSP, planned, designed and developed a solution that helped the client eliminate the manual process of entering the data collected in their gateway to the EHR. We custom-built a script for integrating the PointClickCare EHR via API. We also developed an app that the healthcare providers using the medical device downloaded. This app connected the client’s gateway and EHR, seamlessly transferring the data from the gateway to the PointClickCare EHR. • Using this integrated solution, the client resolved its challenges and optimized the process.
